Ricardo Castillon recently released a new single titled “Para Que,” a song from an upcoming project with Abraham Quintanilla and the singer shared details in an interview with Tejano Nation correspondent Mingo Mariano.
“A few months back I was approached by Mr. Quintanilla about a song that he wanted to put my vocals on that song, that’s how it started,” said Castillon.
The song is “Para Que” featuring a mariachi version and a Tejano version which was released earlier this year.
Castillon added, “And the next thing leads to a full production so we’re actually in the studio right now finishing up an album. I’m really excited about it, I’m super excited!”
The crooner led La Diferenzia in the 1990s before embarking on a solo career. The group scored many hits winning much acclaim and attaining huge success.
Both versions of “Para Que” are available on all digital music platforms and the full album produced by Abraham Quintanilla is expected later this year.
