SAN ANTONIO, TX — LA 45 is back and setting the tone for a massive year. The powerhouse Tejano/Chicano orquesta has officially released their first single of 2026, “Lo Que Menos Me Importa,” now available on all digital streaming platforms worldwide.

The emotionally charged track serves as the lead single for the band’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, scheduled to drop this summer. It marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the San Antonio-based group, who have rapidly become one of the most talked-about and innovative acts in modern Tejano music.

A Modern Take on the Classic Orquesta Sound

Driven by soaring horns, soulful vocals, and an unmistakable fusion of Tejano, Chicano soul, funk, and Latin rhythms, “Lo Que Menos Me Importa” perfectly captures the high-octane signature sound that fans have come to love at LA 45’s packed live shows. The single masterfully bridges the gap between classic orquesta energy and a contemporary edge—fully reflecting the band’s core mission to honor the roots of La Onda while boldly pushing the genre into a new era.

“LA 45 continues to bridge the gap between generations, honoring the roots of Tejano music while pushing the genre into a fresh, modern era.”

Founded by Mike Torres III and GRAMMY Award-winning trumpeter and arranger John Ontiveros—both alumni of the legendary Little Joe y La Familia—LA 45 has steadily built a reputation for powerhouse musicianship, vibrant stage presence, and an unwavering dedication to preserving Chicano musical traditions through a modern lens.

Building on Massive Momentum

The new release follows a string of major milestones for the group. Most recently, LA 45 made waves by performing alongside legendary Chicano music pioneer Sunny Ozuna and the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra. This special symphonic presentation elevated Tejano and Chicano music into a grand orchestral setting, marking a historic moment for the genre as a vital, evolving American art form.

In addition to their orchestral triumphs, the band has previously collaborated with “El Gato Negro” himself, Tejano icon Ruben Ramos, and has maintained a relentless touring schedule that continues to attract a growing national audience.

With more new music, music videos, and tour dates expected to roll out through the rest of the year, “Lo Que Menos Me Importa” is just the beginning of what is shaping up to be a monumental 2026 for LA 45.

“Lo Que Menos Me Importa” is available right now for streaming and download on all major digital platforms.
