SEATTLE, WA — From the lands of the legendary Mt. St. Helen’s volcano in Washington State, comes Los Volcanes de Eddie Rodriguez. The band currently resides in Seattle, however, bandleader Eddie Rodriguez quickly points out their roots are South Texas.

Together as a band for several decades, Los Volcanes de Eddie Rodriguez has become known as the goodwill ambassadors of Tejano music in territories where Tejano music is seldom heard, including a 2009 CBS national television appearance with Neil Diamond at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

This group and CHR President/CEO Rick Garcia have enjoyed a multi-decade association and now recording under the CHR Records label, Garcia will continue to be at the helm of the recording of Los Volcanes de Eddie Rodriguez.

The group’s latest release is “Porque Estoy Tocando,” an up-tempo rhythmic cumbia that maintains the authentic Los Volcanes sabor, while at the same time features the younger generation of Volcanes as founder Eddie Rodriguez’s son, drummer Sean Rodriguez, takes his place in for forefront as an engineer and producer of this hot new single, a great rendition of Tejano at its best. “Porque Estoy Tocando” is available to stream or download on all digital music platforms.
