Jenny B is officially entering her next chapter with the release of her highly anticipated new single, “Soy Como Soy,”available now on all digital streaming platforms.

The new track marks the latest release from Jenny B’s upcoming sophomore album and follows the success of her award-winning debut project, Mujer Sensual. With “Soy Como Soy,” the rising Tejano star delivers a powerful message of confidence, self-expression, and refusing to change who you are for anyone else.

The reigning Best New Female Artist winner at the 45th Tejano Music Awards recently shared a teaser of the song ahead of its release, creating excitement among fans eager to hear the next evolution of her signature sound.

Written by Jose Luis Garcia and produced by ClefGod, “Soy Como Soy” blends the energy of South Texas cumbia, accordion, and modern Tejano influences while delivering a message that Jenny B says is deeply personal.

“I’m sooo excited to release my next single called ‘SOY COMO SOY’!! As a female in the music industry people always have their opinions on what a female artist should act, look and sound like.”

Jenny B says the song is her response to those who try to define what a female artist should be.

“‘Soy como soy’ is a message to the haters that if you don’t like what you see, change the channel. If you don’t like what you hear, change the radio because at the end of the day I’m going to be me and do what I love no matter what others may think.”

The new single represents more than a musical release—it introduces the next phase of Jenny B’s artistic identity as “La Tejana Barbie.”

Introducing La Tejana Barbie

At the heart of Jenny B’s evolution is a persona built around confidence, individuality, and empowerment, especially for women who embrace their own style while staying connected to their roots.

While her debut album Mujer Sensual celebrated traditional Tejano influences, Jenny B says her upcoming music intentionally pushes boundaries by adding fresh elements designed to connect with today’s audience.

“I respect keeping Tejano the way it is 110 percent,” Jenny B explained. “But I also feel like that’s what’s keeping new people away because it feels outdated.”

She says her goal is to bring a new sense of excitement and accessibility to the genre.

“I want to bring some fun, some color, some sexiness—something fresh. Something TikTok-friendly. The goal is to keep Tejano alive.”

For Jenny B, “La Tejana Barbie” is not about fitting into a mold—it’s about breaking one.

A Message for Every Tejana

Jenny B says the “La Tejana Barbie” identity represents anyone who embraces who they are, works hard, and celebrates their individuality.

“Anybody can be a Tejana Barbie. You don’t need to be cookie-cutter. If you’re from Texas, you work hard, love your family, and you’re a strong woman who still looks amazing—you’re a Tejana Barbie. Another word for baddie.”

With “Soy Como Soy,” Jenny B continues building momentum as one of the most exciting new voices in Tejano music. The single showcases her willingness to honor the genre’s roots while introducing new sounds, new energy, and a message of empowerment for a new generation of fans.
