Rising Tejano star Demmi Garcia shares her amazing story of succeeding in the music industry with a chronic illness and keeping Tejano relevant for the next generation plus much more in an interview with The AC Cruz Podcast.
Garcia comes from a long lineage of a musical family deeply rooted in Tejano music. The Houston-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has created her own path in the Tejano music industry with the chart-topping song “Con Tu Amor.”

As a teenager, she was diagnosed with gastroparesis, a condition that affects the normal spontaneous movement of the muscles (motility) in the stomach and digestive tract, but she doesn’t let that hinder her from pursuing a music career. Garcia won Most Promising Female Entertainer of the Year at the 2021 Guadalupe Awards last November and the future is bright for the rising Tejano star.
